Axel Rebien is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Serrala, the global leader in finance process automation empowering the world’s leading enterprises reach new levels of excellence in finance through automation. With over 20 years of experience in executive leadership, he has a strong track record in corporate finance, M&A strategy, investor relations and business transformation.
Axel holds the overall responsibility for the strategic direction, operations, management, and performance of the company. Before becoming CEO in July 2023, Axel served as Serrala’s Chief Financial Officer (CFO), where he was responsible for the company’s financial strategy, accounting, and financial planning. His leadership in this role strengthened Serrala’s financial operations and positioned the company for long-term stability.
Prior to Serrala, he held executive senior leadership positions at Unzer (CEO and CFO; formerly: heidelpay group), a fast-growing, innovative, and modular platform for international payments, PharmaSGP SE (healthcare and pharmaceuticals), and Tom Tailor Holding SE, where he successfully managed the 2010 IPO.
Axel Rebien demonstrated solid experience leading global finance operations, his dynamic leadership, authentic hands-on attitude and visionary mindset, combined with his deep knowledge of the issues and opportunities facing our industry and its customers, are instrumental in driving Serrala’s continued growth and global influence.
Axel holds an MBA in Economics from Gottfried-Wilhelm-Leibniz-University, Hannover, and a Ph.D. in Political Science and Economics from the University of Chemnitz. He is based in Hamburg, Germany.

Axel holds the overall responsibility for the strategic direction, operations, management, and performance of the company. Before becoming CEO in July 2023, Axel served as Serrala’s Chief Financial Officer (CFO), where he was responsible for the company’s financial strategy, accounting, and financial planning. His leadership in this role strengthened Serrala’s financial operations and positioned the company for long-term stability.

Prior to this role, as VP Product and Director Solutions Success, he was responsible for the implementation and success of credit and receivables management solutions.
With nearly 20 years of experience in the risk and receivables industry and 30 years of experience in IT, he has successfully implemented more than 150 projects in his career as a project manager, solution architect, developer, and consultant in various industries.
He holds a degree in mathematics (Berliner Hochschule für Technnik).

Patrick joined Serrala in July 2018. He is responsible for our FS² solutions supporting the Order-to-Cash processes especially for Credit Management, Collections & Dispute as well as for Compliance in the DACH region.
Prior to that, he spent more than 15 years in various positions in credit and receivables management. Here he has experience ranging from credit & collection clerk, credit manager to EMEA Process Owner Credit Management and Accounts Receivable.
Patrick holds a degree in Business Administration for Accounting and General Management. In addition, he participated in the one-year part-time further education of the BVCM at the University of Applied Sciences Bochum and acquired the Certified Credit Manager.

Anabela Da Silva Castanheira is the Director of Business Credit for the EME/APA region at AGCO. In this role, Bela supports sales and brand leaders by overseeing all distribution credit management and financing activities across the world. With over 29 years of experience in the field, Bela has held various positions within Order to Cash, Accounts Receivables, and Credit Management functions. Registration for the Serrala Summit is possible at any time. However, the number of participants is limited, so we recommend that you register as soon as possible using the registration form on this website. You will then receive confirmation of your registration or a place on the waiting list.
The Serrala Summit will take place from May 15-16 at the Curio-Haus in Hamburg.
The conference will be held in German and English. Events on the main stage will be offered in English with simultaneous translation into German. Seminars in the breakout rooms will be held alternately in German and English.
